102.2 and 96.8 FM Lochbroom FM
From humble beginnings in the "shack"
on Argyle Street, Lochbroom FM has grown into to a fully fledged (though still
small!) local radio station serving Ullapool and the surrounding area and now
THE WORLD through our online broadcast. We have a
broad listener base and an equally diverse band of volunteer presenters bringing a
wide range of musical tastes, subjects, debates and news to those living,
working and visiting the area.
We continue to provide a mixed output that reflects the local population and
tastes and welcome requests and suggestions. As Lochbroom FM is staffed by
volunteers, we welcome contributions from members of the local community. Again
please get in touch if you would like to become involved with the station.
Community Involvement:
- Coverage of local news and business;
- Proposed training courses for members of the community;
- Interviews with visitors, musicians and bands;
- Features and documentaries of local, national and international interest and
concern;
- The re-introduction of the world famous Midgie Count - an invaluable
resource for residents and visitors.
Contributing to Lochbroom FM
We welcome input from the public and suggestions of what to play, items of
interest, news, etc. We also offer advertising for local business and can
arrange in-house production to create adverts, jingles, etc.
We also produce features and interviews with visiting musicians and bands -
from local groups to nationally known
performers visiting Loopallu Festival.
Contact us if you feel you'd like to contribute, play or make any
suggestions.
